Up for grabs is a vintage Heuer Autavia
1163 V reference with Tachymeter bezel, Cal. 12 auto movement
This watch has been found, along another vintage Heuer, from its original owner who purchased it in early 1970’s and wore them up until around late 90’s, at which point they were put away until now.
The watch is in its original condition. Case shows signs of being worn, but appears to have never been polished or lightly polished. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible between the lugs.
Dial is in fantastic vintage condition and is damage free. All luminous plots are intact and have developed nice yellowish patina and matching tritium hands. All the colors are still very vibrant and hands are original to the watch.
Bezel is in excellent condition and original. No major wear or damage. Pushers and crown are original and correct.
Caseback is in excellent shape with no major scratches or wear. Crystal appears to be original, has few light scratches from us, no cracks.
Bracelet is original steel Hadley. Nice condition and fits a large wrist.
What makes this set special is the presence of original caseback sticker with matching serial number, the original price tag with matching serial number ($200 back then), original red Heuer box and even original outer sleeve. The original manual is also included, but the page with customer’s info has been removed as the owner thought he needed to send that in for registration (same thing was done with the other Heuer 2446 which I obtained from him).
Watch has had service several times throughout its life, but I do not have documentation of last service and it may or may not be needed. The watch winds, the chrono runs and resets back to zero.
