SOLD 1971 Rolex Submariner Red 1680 MK5 Cream Patina/Ghost Gray Bezel

Excellent vintage condition case with no major dings or dents. Thick and even lugs and crown guards. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible. No corrosion or pitting. 

Incredibly attractive Mark V Red dial with gorgeous creamy patina on plots and hands. Hands original, tritium. No refinish, no relume, no touch-ups. Dial has no tool marks, spotting, corrosion or chips. Date disk is correct, silver with open 6’s and 9’s. 

Bezel insert has faded to a ghost gray color. Nicely patina’d pearl. 

Bracelet is a Rolex 93150 with 580 ends, 12 links total, Patented stamped diver’s extension and C clasp code. Very light stretch from use. 

Caseback is correct and original, stamped 1680 and III.71

No box or papers. No documented service history. Watch currently runs within COSC specs at great amplitude.
