Up for grabs is a Rolex Submariner Date in steel
16800 reference, with sapphire crystal
7.1 mil serial number 1981 production with early matte dial
Excellent vintage condition without any major dings or dents. No corrosion. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible.
Dial is original, tritium, matte and damage free. No spotting, drag marks, chips, etc. No relume or refinish. Hands are original, tritium. Original date disk with open 6’s and 9’s.
Crystal is damage free.
Bezel insert is original with patina’d pearl and slight gray hue fade overall.
Bracelet is a Rolex 93150 with 12 links total. The clasp has been replaced at some point with a 93160 one, also one of the end-links is 501B and other is 593. No diving extension.
No box or papers. No documented service history. Watch runs and winds smoothly.
