SOLD 1987 Rolex Submariner Date 168000 “Triple 0” Heavy Patina’d Dial

Up for grabs is a Rolex Submariner Date 

168000 reference transitional “triple 0” 

R serial circa 1987 production

Excellent vintage condition case without any major dings or dents. Thick and even lugs. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible. No corrosion or pitting. 

Dial is original, heavily patina’d and matted out. Lots of browning perhaps caused by moisture damage at some point. Hands appear original and matching. Original date disk with open 6’s and 9’s. 

The movement of the watch is very clean and corrosion/oxydation/rust free. 

Bezel insert assumed original with heavy wear, fading and patina. 

Caseback is in excellent corrosion free condition and stamped 16800 inside. 

Bracelet is a Rolex 93150 with 11 links, diver’s extension, 593 ends, correct M5 date code, stretched from use as seen in pics, clasp coronet is sharp. 

No box or papers. No documented service history. Currently winds smoothly and runs well.
