Up for grabs is a Rolex Sea-Dweller
1665 reference
5.74 mil serial number circa 1978 production
This watch was found locally, from original owner. The crystal was badly scratched, the hands were original, but relumed, A new crown was needed, the outer clasp and flip-lock were aftermarket replacements. I had ABC Watchwerks go over the watch, replace the crystal, new OEM crown, find and install genuine outer clasp, match the hands, and do a vintage refinish, where they only touch up the brushed part on top of lugs and bevels, but do not polish the sides of case. New stem and all new gaskets were also installed while it was there.
Excellent vintage condition case with very thick and even lugs and crown guards. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible. No corrosion or pitting.
Dial is a very attractive Rail Dial with yellow patina. Please note there is a drag mark. This is seen under a certain angle or under a loupe. Hard to see with naked eye or on wrist. Please refer to macro pictures and look at every angle. Otherwise no chipping, scratching, corrosion. Original date disk with open 6’s and 9’s. Hands are original to the watch, matched by ABC to the dial.
Bracelet is a Rolex 93150 with 11 links, Patented diver’s extension, and 585 ends along with VB date code.
No box or papers. No documented service history.
