SOLD 1970 Rolex Submariner 1680 Red Era w/ Newer Dial

Up for grabs is a Rolex Submariner Date

1680 reference

2.6 mil serial number circa 1970 production. 

This watch is Red Sub period correct and would fit a Mark 2, 3, or 4 dial variations. This watch currently has a MK4 white tritium dial.

Excellent vintage condition case without major dings or dents. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible. 

Dial is in excellent condition, eggshell white tritium is fully intact on all plots. Matching tritium hands. Neither the dial nor hands glow in dark. Original date disk with open 6’s and 9’s. 

Bezel insert is service replacement with pearl still glowing in dark. 

Bracelet is a Rolex 93150 with 11 links, Patented diver’s extension, 580 ends, and shows stretch from use as seen in pictures. Crisp coronet on clasp. 

Caseback is original. Stamped 1680 and IV.70 inside. 

Watch runs and winds smoothly. No box or papers. No documented service history.
