SOLD 1963 Omega Speedmaster Pre-Moon 105.012-63 First Asymmetrical Case Execution

Up for grabs is an Omega Speedmaster Professional

105.012-63 reference is the firs variation with asymmetrical case with a limited number being produced this year. 

205209XX serial number circa 1963 production

Excellent vintage condition with no major dings or dents. Case lugs are clearly defined and not overpolished. No corrosion or pitting. 

Dial is original, with close spaced T SWISS MADE T, which is only correct for these late execution 105.012-63 with earlier ones being SWISS MADE only. Dial shows some aging, mainly around minute totalizer subdial. Some of luminous material has flaked off and bled from plots. This watch was found with a straight chrono Seconds hand, which was probably replaced at some point. 

DON bezel is in excellent vintage condition. No major wear or dents/dings. 

Caseback is in excellent vintage condition, clearly double-stepped, crisp engraving and inside is stamped 105.012-63

The movement is correct and original with appropriate serial number range for this reference as well as symmetrical clutch bridge. All of these later executions have the asymmetrical clutch bridge. 

Watch comes on unworn vintage leather strap with steel buckle. 

No box or papers. No documented service history. Watch runs and winds smoothly. Chrono engages, runs, stops and resets back to zero.
