1979 Rolex Sea-Dweller ref. 1665 Great White MK1 Vivid Yellow Patina

Up for grabs is a Rolex Sea-Dweller 

reference 1665 “Great White”

6.0 mil serial number circa 1979 production

Excellent vintage condition case has thick lugs, but please notice how they were polished before. The edge of the lugs is “rounded”. It is my guess that original owner was getting “poked” but pointy ends of lugs and requested a polish to soften the edges. Serial and reference numbers are clearly intact. 

Dial is amazing MK1 with very vivid patina on plots and hands. No relume, no damage. There is something on 4 oclock plot, but I do not have the skillset or nerve to try and remove it. It not a hair. 

Crystal is original high dome. 

Nice bezel insert with tritium and matching pearl. 

Bracelet is a Rolex 93150 with 11 links, 585 ends, “patented” diver’s extension. 

No box or papers.
