1978 Rolex Submariner 1680 w/ Cream Patina’d Dial

Up for grabs is a Rolex Submariner Date

5.8 mil serial number circa 1978 production

Excellent vintage condition case. The lugs are thick and even as well as crown guards. No corrosion or pitting. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible. 

Dial is original, MK1 Lemerich dial with closed 6’s on depth rating. Dial is damage free. No chips, scratches, drag marks, etc. The patina on plots is creamy with matching tritium hands. No relume, no refinish. Original silver date disk with open 6’s and 9’s. 

Bezel is a nice fat serif font with good fade do it. 

Caseback is original, stamped 1680 inside. 

Bracelet is a Rolex 93150 with 10 links, 580 ends, PATENDED stamped diver’s extension.

No box or papers. No documented service history, but based on service marks inside the caseback, the watch appears to have been serviced in March for 2017.
