3.3 mil serial number circa early 1972 production

Excellent vintage condition case with thick and even lugs. Serial and reference numbers are intact and visible. No corrosion or pitting.

Dial is original, MK3 “Rail Dial”, the most uncommon variation amongst 1655 dials. Very good condition without chips on dial. Very nice yellow patina throughout with matching patina on hands. If you look closely, dial has some dark spots in some places. Almost looks like oil/lubricant spots. Hard to notice in person, but are shown and mentioned for full disclosure. Original date disk with open 6’s and 9’s.

Bezel is original, MK2 thick font period correct.

Caseback is original, stamped 1655 and II.72

Bracelet is Rolex folded link 7836 fully linked with 13 links, 358 ends, no date stamp indicating 73-75 production period, which is period correct for this.

No box or papers. No documented service history.
