Up for grabs is a Rolex Explorer 2 in steel
1655 reference
3.03 mil serial number circa early 1972 production
Excellent vintage condition case with very strong lugs which appear to still retain original bevels. No dings or dents. No corrosion or pitting. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible.
The dial is original, MK1 and original hands with straight seconds hand. Original date disk with open 6’s and 9’s. The dial has some oil spots which could probably be cleaned up.
Bezel is in excellent condition with full enamel filled in and without major dings or dents.
Caseback is original, stamped 1655 and II.72
Watch comes on unworn vintage black leather strap with generic buckle.
No box or papers. No documented service history.
