Up for grabs is an Omega Speedmaster Professional
145.022 reference number
321944XX serial number probably produced around 1971
The serial number of this watch is correctly within range for “Straight Writing” Speedmaster
Excellent vintage condition case with very sharp case. The watch still appears to have factory finish throughout.
Dial is original, stepped, nice patina throughout, tritium hands. Dial is damage free.
Original Omega bezel with “Narrow C” is in very good vintage condition.
Crystal is original Omega hesalite with logo in center.
Caseback is original Omega “Straight Writing” with nice coloring on letter. Inside is correctly stamped 145.022-69
The movement is original, fully functioning. Chrono runs, stops, resets back to zero. The movement is running at +6 second per day at around ~280 amplitude. That being said, the fact that caseback shows on watchmaker marks and gasket shows “gasket melt” from age between caseback and case, it tells me nothing has been touched on this watch for a very long time. The screw on movement look to be in excellent condition so its possible the watch has never been serviced.
The bracelet is original Omega 1039 with 516 ends. Tight condition, fits about 7.5″ wrist. Stamped 3.69
Watch comes with original Omega boxes. This inner red square box is a standard box for Omega in 1960’s and 1970’s and is period correct for this watch.
