Up for grabs is a Rolex Submariner
ref. 1680
2.7 mil serial number circa 1970 production
Excellent vintage condition case with thick lugs and crown guards. Serial and reference numbers are intact and visible.
The watch went to LA Watchworks for lubrication, gaskets, crystal and pressure test. They also performed what’s called a “vintage polish”. This means they do not touch the sides of the case, but only redefine the brushed finish on top of the lugs and chamfers.
Dial is a flawless and amazing MK4 with very strong yellow patina. Not a single tool mark, drag mark, chip, etc. Date disk is original silver with open 6’s and 9’s.
Bezel insert is original fat font with nice color and trit pearl.
Caseback is original, stamped 1680 and dated 1970.
Bracelet is a Rolex 9315 folded link in excellent condition, dated ’72, 280 ends, misspelled pateted diver’s extension.
No box or papers.
