1969 Rolex Explorer ref. 1016 “Frog Leg” Dial, Box and Papers

Up for grabs is a Rolex Explorer

2.9 mil serial number circa 1969 production

Excellent vintage condition case with defined lugs. Numbers are clear and visible between the lugs. 

Dial is original MK1 “Frog Leg” with creamy patina. No damage or relume. 

Bezel is original in nice condition. 

Bracelet is a Rolex 7836 folded link with 280 ends, 72 date code on clasp. 

Caseback is original, stamped 1016 and dated 69 inside. 

Watch comes complete with Rolex box, manual or US AD name and address stamped on back. Warranty booklet, which is stamped with matching serial number and 1016 and also dated 12/72 (the date it left Rolex USA to the AD). The watch also comes with Explorer brochure and wallet with 1016 sticker on it.
