5513 reference
1.399 mil serial number circa early 1966
Excellent vintage condition case with strong lugs showing original beveled edges. Serial and reference numbers are very strong and fully intact. No corrosion or pitting. Original twin-lock Rolex winding crown.
Dial is fantastic gilt “Bart Simpson”. If you are familiar with this dial variations, you know most of them have heavily deteriorated and peeled and chipped off. This example is in beautiful glossy condition with all of its luminous still intact. Hands are original, tritium and matching. The luminous still glows in dark after being exposed to light as very correct for these dials of this period.
Original Long 5 insert is in very nice condition with patina’d tritium pearl.
Caseback is original, stamped 5513 and I.66
Bracelet is a Rolex 7206 Swiss rivet with stamped 4/66 with 80 end-links and 12 links total. Michael Young has serviced it in 2015.
