Up for grabs is a Tudor Submariner in steel

7922 reference with correct small crown variation for this serial number ragen

244,XXX serial number circa 1956 production

Superb vintage condition case with very thick lugs. Brushed finish and chamfers have been redefined by LA Watchworks. No corrosion or pitting.

Caseback is correct and original. Outside is clearly stamped with serial and reference numbers and the inside is not dated, as it should be for this serial number range.

The dial is an incredibly seldom seen tritium 100 meters service dial with Shield logo. This dial is in NOS condition with beautiful patina and is only correct for NCG Tudor subs, as later ones like 7928, 7016 use a smaller in diameter, as well as 200 meters dials.

The gilt hands are original and correct for this watch with lollipop seconds hand. The hands were matched to the color of dial patina with non-luminous material.

Original brass bezel’s “lip” has worn down over time and the insert is glued on to secure in place.

Watch comes on unworn gray vintage leather strap.

No box or papers. Watch has been serviced and winds and runs well.
