Up for grabs is a Rolex Day-Date in 18kt yellow gold
Reference 18083 with sapphire crystal, 36mm, quick-set date.
6.6 mil serial number circa 1980 production
Excellent vintage condition case with sharp and thick lugs. Few dings from wear as seen in pictures. Clear numbers between the lugs.
Dial is original Blue Vignette with diamond markers. No relume, no refinish. Factory set diamonds.
Bracelet is 18kt yellow gold. The end-links are correct with “55” stamp and clasp is original and correct with 8385 reference number. It is my belief from observation that the middle links of the bracelet are aftermarket. You can see the “hollow” outer link, which should be “enclosed” on 8385 bracelet. Perhaps the original bracelet got too stretch out, and one of previous owners swapped the clasp and end-links to a better bracelet. There are 7 removable links (full factory length) and all those are original with “enclosed” outer link.
Caseback is original, stamped 18000 inside (correct).
No box or papers.
