Up for grabs is a Rolex Day-Date in 18kt yellow gold

Reference 18038 with quickset Day function.

6.2 mil serial number circa 1979 production with warranty papers dated in 1981 at time of purchase as new

Excellent vintage condition case with sharp and thick lugs. Clear numbers between the lugs.

Dial is original, matte blue with applied Roman numerals. As typical of colored dials from this era, the paint shows degradation from time. There are no man-made scratches. All lume plots have orange patina and match the tritium hands.

Watch comes on unworn leather strap with steel buckle.
