1972 Rolex DateJust ref. 1601 “Matte Black Dial”

Up for grabs is a Rolex DateJust

Reference 1601 in steel with white gold bezel, 36mm

3.3 mil serial number circa 1972 production

Very good vintage condition case with even lugs. Clear numbers between the lugs.

Dial is matte black with silver print. Original date disk.

Caseback is original, stamped 1603 and dated 1972 inside.

Bracelet is a Rolex 62510 with 555 ends and D date code. Stretch as expected.

No box or papers. There is a service mark inside caseback dated 2018. The watch winds a bit tough, but runs at +3 secs per day.
