Up for grabs is a Rolex Submariner Date

Reference 1680

2.2 mil serial number circa 1969 production. An MK5 dial is a bit too late for 2.2 case and it should have a Meters First dial. This dial was either replaced early on during early service or put into this case at a later date.

Very good vintage condition case with thick lugs and crown guards. Clear numbers between the lugs.

Dial is a genuine MK5 variation red with nice patina on plots. Hands are darker in color of patina.

Bezel insert is nice fat font with some fading from age.

Caseback is original, stamped 1680 and dated 1.69 inside.

Watch comes on unworn leather strap.
