Up for grabs is a Rolex Daytona in steel
Reference 6262 with Rolex Cal. 727 movement
2.73 serial number circa 1970 production
Very good vintage condition case with even lugs and clear numbers.
Dial is original and is in good condition. Most of the lume dots are still intact with nice patina. There is a tool mark/scratch on dial above A in Daytona as you can see in macro pictures.
Original bezel without any major dings or dents.
Caseback is original, stamped correctly 6239 inside. The outside has the serial number of the case stamped. The number matches the case, but unfortunately I do not know the history or reason behind it. It would be as simple as some watchmaker stamping it to make sure he put it on the right watch after a service or it could be a watch which was issued by some organization. The history is lost on this one.
The movement is in good physical and running condition.
Bracelet is most likely original to this watch and is a USA C&I Rivet with ’72 date stamp which would be appropriate.
No box or papers.
