1992 Breguet Serpantine Calendar ref. 3047 With Display Back

Up for grabs is a Breguet Serpantine Moonphase Calendar

This is a very rare reference 3047

Similar to reference 3040, this watch is in yellow gold with 36mm case and looks identical on the front. The back, however, is displayed and shows the highly decorated caliber 502QST movement. The reference 3040 has a solid caseback.

An inquiry with Breguet has revealed that this particular example was delivered to the American market in November of 1992. Though they cannot disclose the exact number production numbers, it is believed that less than 100 reference 3047’s were made.

Some of the pictures you see were taken prior to a Breguet factory service. This service took about 5 months to complete and I opted to preserve the original movement service at extra charge after Breguet proposed to “update it”. A receipt for $2500 service charge will be included and the watch remains under factory service warranty. The service was copmplete in late October of 2023. Factory service stickers will also remain on the watch, as some of the pictures show.

The case is in excellent vintage condition with sharp lugs, beautiful and sharp coin-edge sides.

The dial, hands, and moonphase disk all remain original.

The strap is original Breguet black alligator with original Breguet yellow gold deployment buckle.

This watch comes with Breguet service box and service receipt.
