Up for grabs is an Omega Speedmaster Professional
Reference 145.022-69
This is a rare “straight writing” caseback model.
321923XX serial number circa 1971 production with correct serial number range for this caseback
Excellent vintage condition case is very sharp and clean. Seemingly unpolished.
I am confident to say that the caseback has never been opened until the previous dealer had it who sold it to me. The outside is in amazing condition with pretty much all of its black enamel still intact. There are absolutely no service marks inside. The gasket is extremely dry and probably original to this watch. The movement screws look untouched. They did scratches the caseback trying to open it in past (probably because the gasket was so stuck).
The dial is original step dial with perfect plots. Again, probably never been out of the case. The hands are original, also show no signs of ever been removed. The lume on hands has aged to a dark color, which is not uncommon.
Crystal is original with correct Omega logo in center.
Bezel is original and is in excellent condition without any dents or dents or scratches.
The original Omega 1171 bracelet also seems to be unpolished and sharp and factory finished clasp.
No box or papers of any kind. The watch runs, but since I believe it was never serviced before, you may consider doing that if you’re buying it to wear or leave it alone if its going into a collection.
