1986 Rolex GMT-Master 2 ref. 16760 “Fat Lady”

Up for grabs is Rolex GMT-Master in steel

16760 reference, so-called “Fat Lady

9.0 mil serial number circa 1986 production.

Excellent vintage condition shows signs of light polish in past. The numbers are fully legible.

Dial is original, evenly matte with normal and typical aging around the metal plots. Nice creamy patina on plots and hands.

Original white date disk with open 6’s and 9’s.

Bezel is original and correct red/black (coke)

Bracelet is Rolex 78360 with 12 links, 501 ends, J date code and moderate stretch from use as described in picture.

Caseback is stamped 16800 inside. Theory is that it was accidently swapped by a watchmaker while servicing multiple watches, one of which happened to be a Sub. This is disclosed, but changes nothing in my opinion in terms of functionality.

No box or papers.

There is no documented service history. The watch winds smoothly, runs at about +10 seconds with ~260 amplitude.
