Up for grabs is a Rolex Explorer 1

1016 reference

596,XXX serial number circa 1960 production

Very good condition case that has previously been polished. No major dings, dents or deep scratches. Nice, thick and even lugs. The serial and reference numbers show bracelet wear but still recognizable under a loupe.

Dial is excellent MK5 service replacement that still briefly glows after exposure to UV light.

The movement rotor is still original “butterfly” style.

Caseback is excellent stamped 1016 and date ’60

Bracelet is Rolex USA C&I Rivet  with 10 links total, and 1976 date.

No box or papers. No documented service history but currently runs at +20 seconds at ~280 amplitude.
