Up for grabs is a Rolex GMT-Master in steel
1675 reference
1.8 mil serial number circa 1968 production
Excellent vintage condition case with this lugs and crown guards. The case has just been repolished by LA Watchworks to redefine the chamfers. The numbers are fully legible, though the case does show some pitting between the lugs.
Dial is original, tritium, MK1 with “Long E”. The dial is damage free. Very attractive cream patina on all plots. The hands are original, they have been color matched by LA Watchworks to match the patina of the dial.
Bezel is original and extremely attractive with faded blue and intense fuchsia hues.
A new crystal, new crown, and case tube were installed during the spa visit as well.
Caseback is original, stamped 1675 and IV.68
The bracelet is an original Rolex 7836 with 12 links, ’70 date on clasp and 258 end-links. It is appropriate and correct for the bracelet to be 2-3 years younger than the watch during this period.
No box or papers. The watch winds and runs at -20 seconds with ~230 amplitude.
