Up for grabs is a Rolex Bubbleback in steel
reference 5050, 33mm
643,XXX serial number circa 1949 production
Excellent vintage condition case with sharp and defined lugs. No major dings or dents. Original Brevet crown.
Dial is original, ivory with chapter ring, applied markers and crown, alternating Arabic numerals, doubled signed with Serpico Y Laino. Hands are original gilt “pencil” with blued steel seconds hand. Radium is missing out of the minute hand. Dial shows signs of “radium burn” from aging. The watch is very active under Geiger counter with original radium. No refinish, no tool marks, no chips.
Caseback is original, stamped 5050 inside.
The watch was found and comes on stretchy Speidel bracelet.
No box or papers. No documented service history. Watch winds and runs.
