1954 Rolex Oyster Perpetual ref. 6285 “Big Bubbleback” Waffle Explorer Dial

Reference 6285 “big bubbleback” with Cal. A260 movement and 34mm case

905,XXX serial number circa early 1954 production

Extremely well preserved condition with thick and sharp lugs, fully legible numbers, original “+” Brevet winding crown.

The dial is extremely nice waffle, non-luminous with Explorer style Arabic 3-6-9. Original non-luminous sword hands with blued steel seconds. Original print, not refinished and no signs of cleaning.

Caseback is original and extremely well preserved. The outer “Registered Design” and “Modele Depose” stamps are extremely sharp and legible. Inside is stamped 6285 and dated I.54

The bracelet is a newer Rolex 78350 in tight condition, with 12 links, H date code, 557 ends.

No box or papers. No service history. The watch winds and runs.
