Up for grabs is a Rolex Turn-O-Graph in steel
6202 reference
951,XXX serial number circa early 1954 production
Excellent vintage condition case with thick and sharp lugs. Serial and reference numbers are intact and clearly visible. No corrosion or pitting. This case is interesting “error” one with reversed numbers. The serial number was stamped at 12 o’clock side and reference numbers is between the lugs at 6 o’clock side. This happened rarely but has been documented many times.
Dial is original, gilt Chapter ring with nice patina. Some of the radium has chipped off the dial. There are no chips or scratches or tool marks. Hands are original gilt “pencil” with big bubble seconds.
Bezel and insert are aftermarket replacement.
Caseback is stamped 6202 and I.54
Watch comes on unrown vintage leather strap with steel buckle.
No box or papers. No documented service history.
