Up for grabs is a Rolex Submariner No Crown Guard
6536/1 reference with cal. 1030 movement
155,XXX serial number circa 1956 production
Excellent vintage condition case without corrosion or pitting. Lugs are beveled. No major dings or dents. The serial and reference numbers are light from bracelet wear, but still visible in pictures and under loupe.
Dial is original and period correct, radium with natural aging of lacquer. The dial has clearly turned brown with intense orange gilt. There is no relume, no refinish and only natural aging on the dial.
The hands are original, gilt with radium. No relume.
Bezel ring is original with newer ghost faded insert.
Caseback is original, stamped 6536/1 and II.56 inside
Watch comes on unworn vintage leather strap with steel buckle.
No box or papers.
