1957 Rolex Explorer ref. 6610 Matte OCC Dial, Orange Patina

Up for grabs is a Rolex Explorer

Reference 6610 with 36mm case

268,XXX serial number circa 1957 production

Excellent vintage condition case with sharp lugs. The numbers have wear from a bracelet, but still legible.

The dial is a very rare early service dial with “OCC” still printed, tritium, with very attractive vivid orange patina on plots. The hands are original, gilt with radium lume.

caseback is original, stamped 6610 and dated ’57 inside

The bracelet is a Rolex stretch rivet 6636 with “64” end-links. The clasp blades were replaced at some point with Rolex 6251 blades.
