Up for grabs is a Rolex GMT-Master
6542 reference, no-crown-guard
263,XXX serial number circa early 1957 production
Excellent vintage condition case with thick lugs with original chamfers. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and visible.
Dial is silver-print, matte tritium service replacement with nice orange patina with matching tritium hands. Date disk with open 6’s and 9’s.
Bakelite insert has also been replaced with steel insert and this one has aged to a very vivid fuchsia color with strong blue on top and is a fat font insert.
Caseback is original, stamped 6542 and I.57 inside.
Bracelet is a Rolex USA C&I rivet with spring loaded, stretchy links. It is dated 1973 and watch was found as you see it now.
