1957 Rolex Submariner 6536/1 Orange Patina, Unpolished

Up for grabs is a Rolex Submariner “Small Crown”

6536/1 reference with cal. 1030 movement

229,XXX serial number circa 1957 production

Excellent vintage condition case with ding and dent free. The lugs are very strong and sharp with clearly original chamfers and finished. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible. 

Dial is original, very untouched condition with all of luminous plots fully intact. Strong orange patina. Correct radium 6 o’clock plot as should be on 6536 dials. The lacquer has matted out and turned color on dial, but all print is fully intact. There is no chipping or scratched. 

The hands are original, radium, gilt with big bubble white seconds hand. All lume is original and fully intact. No relume, no refinish. 

Bezel insert is original red triangle with heavy wear as seen in pictures. 

The crystal is crazed and is possibly original to the watch. 

Caseback is in excellent condition, also appears unpolished on the outside. Stamped 6536/1 and I.57 inside. 

Watch comes on unworn vintage leather strap with steel buckle.
