1958 Rolex GMT-Master ref. 6542 “Pepsi Bakelite, Orange Patina, Strong Case”

Up for grabs is a Rolex GMT-Master

Reference 6542 with bakelite bezel

381XXX serial number circa 1958 production

Excellent vintage condition case with thick and even lugs with factory chamfers. The serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible. No corrosion or pitting.

Dial is beautiful and original with orange patina on plots and hands. Still glossy with normal aging. Date disk is original roulette.

Bezel is original bakelite Pepsi in excellent condition. Single crack at 13, otherwise excellent.

DIal, hands, and bezel all show strong radioactive emission on Geiger counter. No relume, no refinish.

Caseback is original, stamped 6542 inside and dated in 1958.

Bracelet is a Rolex Swiss rivet with 65 ends and 58 date on clasp.

No box or papers.
