Up for grabs is an Omega Speedmaster Pre-Pro
2915-3 reference circa 1959
166489XX serial number circa 1959. Very correct for -3 sub-reference.
The movement is original and correct A1 first variation. Please note the first execution arrow-shaped adjustment index and symmetrical shape of clutch-lever bridge.
Excellent vintage condition case with defined lugs. No corrosion or pitting. Original small pushers and original skinny logo crown.
Dial is original, radium, in excellent vintage condition. A Geiger Counter shows activity on the dial and hands and they are both appropriately aged to dark color patina. This dial is A3 variation, original and correct for 2915-3 with oval O in Omega.
Hands are original and correct for 2915 and are different from 2998 reference. The straight, white chrono hand is original and correct. The leaf subdials hands are original, appear to have been repainted in past, but have already developed discoloration on their own.
Bezel is a correct black BASE 1000 in what I would consider excellent vintage condition in contrast to most of these seen.
Caseback is original, in excellent vintage condition. Nice outer engraving. Inside is stamped 2915-3.
Bracelet is Omega 7077/6, with double expandable links. Stamped 2.59 on clasp. Correct “6” end-links. Bracelet is missing 2 links from original length.
