Up for grabs is a Rolex Chronograph Pre-Daytona in steel
6234 reference
530,XXX serial number circa 1959 production
Excellent vintage condition case without major dings or dents. No corrosion or pitting. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible. Thick and even lugs lugs throughout.
Dial is original, SWISS only radium, and extremely attractive with bi-color print. The dial has aged to a light caramel tropical color throughout. All radium plots are intact and have aged to an orange color. The hands are tritium service replacement and no longer glow.
Caseback is original, correctly stamped 6234 and is in excellent vintage condition.
The bracelet is a Rolex 78350 with 12 links, moderate/light stretch, 557B ends, and T date code on clasp.
No box or papers. No documented service history, but based on markings inside caseback, it appears to have been serviced by RSC in late 1994. This date also is period correct for the bracelet’s age therefore it is my assumption this bracelet was added during that service and probably the hands.
Watch winds smoothly, runs well. Chrono runs, stops, and resets.
