Up for grabs is an Omega Speedmaster Straight Lug, Pre-Professional
CK 2998-3 reference
177622XX serial circa 1960 production, falls perfectly within correct range of -3 sub-reference.
Case is in excellent vintage condition. No major dings or dents, but shows obvious signs of wear. I do not see any signs of overpolishing. No corrosion or pitting. Original skinny logo crown and pushers appear to be original, as well.
Dial, and hands are service replacement. Dial with applied logo and without “professional” text. Hands would be correct with leaf subdial hands and Alpha main hands. These are genuine Omega parts, not refinished and not aftermarket.
Bezel is also a modern service replacement.
Caseback is original, in excellent condition. Very sharp outer edges and crisp Hippocampus engraving. Inside is stamped 2998-3.
Bracelet is also original, transitional Omega 7077 with small clasp and smaller spring loaded links. Stamped 4/60. One of the end-links is correct and original, the other is a reproduction “6”.
Watch runs well and chrono functions as it should.
