Up for grabs is a Rolex Veriflat

This is an interesting and rare reference 6512. It uses a manual wind cal. 1000, which is based on cal. 1030 and was made only for this model. The watch was designed to compete with thing Pateks of this period and is the thinnest Oyster case Rolex has ever made, coming in at 9mm in depth. This reference was only available for a few years in late 50’s and very early 60’s. The case size is 34mm and these were only available in precious metal.

Excellent vintage condition case with even lugs. Numbers are visible clearly.

Dial is original, SWISS only, reacts with Geiger counter, original hands. No refinish, no relume.

Caseback is original, stamped 6512 inside.

Cal. 1000 movement runs fine, winds smoothly, physically looks fine.

The watch itself is hard to come by as it is without refinished dial or other issues, but this one is even more special because its a complete set. This watch comes with original boxes (inner and outer), manual, warranty card, COSC papers and original sales receipt.

The numbers are all matching on the COSC papers and warranty, as well as the sales receipt.

This watch never succeeded for Rolex and was discontinued in 1962, partially due to high price. As you can see, this reflects the sale price on the receipt. The original owner bought this watch at 40% new at the AD. Try to get that kind of discount today :)!!
