1960’s Audemars Piguet ref. 5273 Ultra Thin in Steel, Box & Papers, Cal. 2120

Up for grabs is an Audemars Piguet Dress Watch

Reference 5237 in steel, with 34mm case, ultra thin (only 6mm thick case) with automatic Caliber 2120 movement, the very same movement also used in Patek 3700 Nautilus

The dial is original, matte off-white color with Roman Numerals and black hands.

The case remain in excellent vintage condition with sharp lugs and sides of the case. Appears unpolished.

The caseback also appears unpolished with serial number clearly displayed. Inside of the caseback is AP signed.

The strap is Audemars Piguet signed and is leather on inside and black velvet-like texture on outside. Steel buckle is also original and signed.

Aside from being a rare reference, this example also was found with its original AP box and matching papers. All numbers match to the watch. You would have a hard time finding any examples with papers, let alone available for sale.

No service history is know, but the watch winds and runs.
