Up for grabs is a Rolex Day-Date in 18kt yellow gold
1803 reference with 36mm case
933,XXX serial circa 1963 production
Excellent vintage condition with thick and even lugs. The lugs are sharp and show patina throughout the case and bezel, if the watch has been polished before, it was very long time ago.
There is no “bracelet wear” between the lugs, leading us to believe this watch has always been worn and probably sold on a leather strap.
Dial is original and period correct pie-pan “SWISS only”. Silver color with “doorstep” 6 and 9 markers. All luminous plots are fully intact. Hands are original and period correct sword-shaped with matching tritium.
Bezel is in excellent vintage condition. Sharp finish and original bevel. Its not worn down or polished down.
Caseback is original, stamped 1803 inside with 18kt hallmarks. Very sharp on outside and seemingly unpolished.
The watch comes on nearly unworn, period correct Roelx strap with 18k yellow gold Rolex buckle.
No box or papers. No documented service history. The watch winds smoothly, runs at +1 seconds with ~270 amplitude at time of listing.
