Up for grabs is a Tudor Submariner
Reference 7928 with cal. 390 movement
400,XXX serial number circa 1963 production
Excellent vintage condition case with very thick lugs. The watch has been polished and worn in past, surely, but you can still see the original chamfer and sharp pointed crown guards. Clear numbers.
Dial is original, with gilt print and “swiss only” on bottom Chapter ring. No drag marks, no scratches. Lume is original. Hands are original gilt with large lollipop seconds hand. Hands have been relumed with non-luminous material to match the dial.
Bezel inset is newer and was probably artificially “faded” to give it the ghost look it has. It is very difficult to turn the bezel, as well.
Caseback is original, it is stamped 7928 and dated ’63.
Bracelet is a Rolex 9315 with 380 ends and dates to early 1970’s.
No box or papers.
