Up for grabs is a Tudor Submariner
Reference 7928
400,0XX serial number circa early 1963 production
Excellent vintage condition case with very thick and original lugs. Original chamfers are clearly visible. Pointed crown guards are sharp and even. Numbers between the lugs are clear and visible.
Dial is original and very rare gilt underline. Most examples of 7928 with underline dial already have silver print, but the earlier ones still have gilt print with underline. Dial has drag marks from hands (as typically seen on 5512’s from this era as well), but otherwise the dial is perfect with very vivid yellow lume, gilt original hands and big lollipop seconds hand.
Bezel insert is original to the watch with long 5 insert in very excellent condition.
Caseback is original, stamped 7928 and II.63 inside.
Original twin lock crown.
Bracelet was found with the watch, though its a bit newer. Dated in 1974. USA rivet.
Original high dome crystal shows scratches.
Overall a very attractive watch in person and on wrist.
