Up for grabs is a Rolex DateJust in steel and gold
1601 reference
1.07 mil serial number circa 1964 production
Excellent vintage condition case with thick and defined lugs. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible.
Dial is original, gilt and gloss with very vivid brown agings. The dial is still glossy and most lume dots are still intact. Hands are original dauphine style. There is no relume and no refinish. Date disk is original with open 6’s and 9’s. Very unique look to the dial.
Caseback is original, stamped 1601 and II.64 inside.
The movement looks dirty and may require a service to run to spec, but the watch winds and runs and functions.
Watch comes on unworn vintage leather strap with steel buckle.
