1966 Rolex Explorer ref. 1016 Gilt “Tropical” Dial

Up for grabs is a Rolex Explorer

1.50 mil serial number circa 1966 production

Very good vintage condition case with sharp lugs and clear numbers. 

Dial is original, gilt with tritium. The lacquer has spidered from age and dial has turned to a dark brown color throughout. Please note that all of my pictures are taken outside, under natural light of overcast sky. No flash or artificial lighting. 

Caseback is original, stamped 1016 VI.66 inside. 

Watch comes on unworn leather strap with steel buckle. 

No box or papers.
