1966 Rolex GMT-Master ref. 1675 “Gilt/Glossy with Box & Papers”

Up for grabs is a Rolex GMT-Master

Reference 1675

1.4 mil serial number circa 1966 at the end of gilt dials production.

Excellent vintage condition case without corrosion or pitting. Even lugs and crown guards. Serial and reference numbers are clearly visible.

Dial is original, gilt and glossy. The lacquer remains very glossy with mirror-like finish and deep black in color. Expect to see normal aging and marks on dial from past services, but nothing dramatic. The lighter 6, 9, and 12 are ok and period correct in patina. Original hands have been relumed to match the color of dial’s patina better. Date disk with hook 7.

Bezel insert has red back, fat font, light color fading.

Bracelet is a Rolex 7206 Swiss Rivet with 80 end-links and 12 links; dated 1965.

Casebacks is original, stamped 1675 and dated II.66

The watch comes complete with Rolex box, period correct manual, period correct “GMT-Master” card, original COSC paper with matching serial number to the case and to the movement and also the original Guarantee with punched serial number and AD stamp.
