Up for grabs is an Omega Speedmaster Professional
Reference 105.012-66 CB
CB case with beveled inner lugs.
254418XX serial number circa 1967 production. The serial number range is accurate for 105.012-66 case.
Excellent vintage condition case has been previously polished, but retains sharp edges. No corrosion or pitting. The pushers are replacement ones. The crown is 32 teeth wide Omega logo produced in 60’s and 70’s.
Dial is original with nice yellow patina on plots. No damage, no relume. Hands are a bit later, but tritium and have some paint damage from past service presumably. Patina matches well.
Crystal is Omega hesalite with logo in center.
Nice DON bezel with minor signs of wear.
Caseback is original with clear Hippocampus on back. It is also stamped “Osterr Rundfunk” with Inventory Number. According to a brief Google search this is an Austrian broadcasting company. No further history or details of why they would have a Speedmaster as part of inventory is known. Inside is correctly stamped 105.012-66 CB
Bracelet is original and nice flat-link 1039 with 516 ends. Dated in 1967.
The watch runs and winds smoothly. No service history is known. Chronograph performs as it should.
