1967 Rolex DateJust ref. 1600 “Smooth Bezel, White Buckley Dial”

Up for grabs is a Rolex DateJust in steel

Reference 1600 with original smooth bezel, 36mm case

1.7 mil serial number circa 1967 production

Very good vintage condition case without corrosion or pitting. Clear numbers.

The watch has a very original and rare step Buckley dial in white. It also has the correct “greenish” lume from late 60’s as seen on Rolex during this time when they use zinc sulfate in their mixture for the lume. All plots are perfect with matching hands and everything still briefly glows, as it should, after being exposed to bright light. No scratches, no relume.

Caseback is original, dated ’67

Bracelet is original Rolex 6251 Jubilee with ’68 date. This is also very correct for bracelet to be 1-3 years “younger” than the watch.

No box or papers. Rare reference, rare dial, all original watch.
