Up for grabs is a Rolex Sea-Dweller
1665 reference
1.7 mil serial number circa 1967 production
This watch is so-called “thin case” Double Red SD. Case is in excellent vintage condition without corrosion or pitting. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible.
Dial is original MK2 variation with very vivid patina on plots. There are no scratches, chips, drag marks on dial. The luminous on dial is consistently and evenly partially flaked off. Hands have been relumed with non-luminous material to match the dial’s patina. Dated disk with open 6’s and 9’s.
Bezel and insert are period correct with “long 5”
Caseback is original, clearly engraved on outside and stamped inside with 1665, IV.67 and matching last 3 digits of serial number to the case.
Bracelet is newer Rolex 93150 in tight condition with 580 end-links.
