1967 Rolex Submariner ref. 5512 “Meters First, Box & Papers”

Up for grabs is a Rolex Submariner No-Date

Reference 5512 with Cal. 1570 chronometer certified movement, 4-line dial

1.7 mil serial number circa 1967 production

Excellent vintage condition case with thick lugs and crown guards. Previously repolished. Numbers are clearly visible even thought there is some minor corrosion between the lugs.

Dial is excellent, matte with period correct “Meters First” font. Very nice patina on plots and hands.

Original twin-lock crown.

Fat font bezel insert with bezel pip instact.

Caseback is original, stamped 5513 and dated 1967

Bracelet is a later Rolex 93150 with 580 ends and V date code.

Watch comes complete with period correct Rolex box, manual, and punched warranty booklet. According to the paper, this watch was purchased directly from Rolex in NYC in 1968.
