Up for grabs is an Omega Speedmaster Pre-Moon
Reference 145.012-67
265443XX serial number circa 1968 production as noted in the Extract of Archives
Please note, this is NOT an Ultraman Speedy. The watch was found with an orange chrono hand and it appears to have been on the watch for a very long time as it has fading from age which is clearly evident. The serial number range for Ultraman is also slightly earlier in the 26m range. Extract has no mention of anything about orange hand being on the watch and last but not least, the hand itself is tiny bit short compared to the one on Ultraman. This is a “standard” 145.012 which is being sold in as found condition.
Excellent condition case with sharp case. The crown and pushers are newly installed service replacement, genuine Omega parts.
The watch has been fully overhauled by LA Watchworks on 3/26/2018. Crown, pushers, crystal, gaskets, were replaced during the service. Watch winds and runs smoothly. LAWW tried very hard to get rid of hour totalizer creep that is common on 321’s, but its still present now.
Original DON bezel
Caseback is sharp and stamped 145.012-67 inside
Bracelet is original Omega 1039 flat links with 516 ends and dated in 1968.
Watch comes with Omega Extract of Archives which shows the watch was produced in 1968 and delivered new to South African market.
